Pierre Eugene Meunier was born on July 1926 in Grand, a village of Lorraine in Eastern France. He has his primary and secondary studies at Ermont and attended the school of Commerce, Paris. He left France for Nigeria in the employment of SCOA in 1948. In 1978, he became a citizen of Nigeria. Among his works are poems, short stories, children’s stories, and plays. Some of the children’s stories have been adapted into plays and staged in Kaduna at the Space 2000 children’s theatre. Most of his plays for adults have been staged in Lagos, Ibadan, Zaria, Jos, and Maiduguri and some of them have been translated into Hausa and staged in and around Zaria. These works have all met with overwhelming acclaim as well as marked scholarly commendation
