It is the story of Fila Enu, a beautiful young Nigerian girl. From a relatively unsophisticated background, on the death of her father, she moves to Lagos and its smart literary and political world.

Fila becomes a model and attracts the attention of an unscrupulous politician and a journalist of, somewhat, lightweight ideals. Conflict ensues.
